Indian Head Massage Diploma Course

Service Description

Head massage has been practised in India and throughout Asia for well over one thousand years. Originally women used the techniques to keep their long hair in a strong and healthy condition. This treatment is an excellent stress buster and is a highly effective therapeutic massage of the scalp, neck, shoulders and face. The nerve endings are also stimulated and acupressure points are worked, which can release stress throughout your body and re-balance your energy levels. This extremely fast working and effective massage is performed sitting in a chair and oil is used on the upper back and shoulders. During the course day(s), you will be taken through theory, contra-indications, cautions and client care, then practical practise throughout the rest of the day. The massage sequence is broken down into small steps and you will have the chance to give and receive the full treatment at the end of the day. Refreshments are provided through the day. Please bring your own refillable water bottle and your own lunch/snack. You will be provided with an extensive full colour manual to take home with you and a laminated sheet with shortened notes to practise containing client forms for your case studies information. If you are a beginner to massage you will be required to complete two more days of the course and some case studies. If you are qualified to level 3 Beauty/ Massage, this is an add-on course for your CPD points and to add to your skill set.
